At Shine Restaurant's Gathering Place
2027 13th St, Boulder, CO
Our Gather this Sunday, Dec. 14th is with guest Valerie D'Ambrosio, and is all about staying grounded and centered in the holiday season!
Our theme for December, "Divine Remembering", is all about coming back to the quiet center within - that place that is so easy to forget amidst the to-do list of life, and especially easy to forget during the crazy December holiday season. This quiet place within is also one of the many doorways to connect with something larger that connects us all. We have the gift of a special guest this Sunday - Valerie D'Ambrosio is a "spirit archaeologist", which means that her passion is helping folks dig deep to discover their highest truth and their infinite potential. She's going to share tools and insight to maintain that centered sense of self during the holiday season - so that we can thrive rather than feel overwhelmed, and so that we can juice up our Divine Remembering even more. Amidst all the travel and the family events and shopping and the vast range of emotion that comes with all of it, our hearts and souls yearn to remember the deeper meaning underneath the holidays, and the deeper connection that we can have with our selves and each other. Valerie's going to help us do this!
Join us for this Sunday's Gather, plus stay for yummy organic brunch afterward if you like. We open and close with our regular Sacred House practices, and Valerie's guest sharing is the "main course" in between. Please arrive between 11:00 and 11:15 am so that we can start promptly at 11:15 am. We welcome you to bring your own pillow for your chair, and/or to bring an item of spiritual meaning to you to place on our community altar. This is just one of the ways that we co-create the Sacred House sacred space together. The Gather is from 11:15 am to 12:30 pm at Shine Restaurant's Gathering Place, and then brunch is afterward. You can also come for Shine's yoga class at 10:00 am beforehand if you'd like a good morning stretch to start your day. Get all the logistical details on our Gather Page and on our Calendar page.
Our December theme, Divine Remembering, is inspired by Shine's Owl Eyes potion - an alchemical mix of yumminess that is the spiritual version of an energy drink. It helps us access energy from within that is grounded, rather than jacking up energy artificially. You can read all about Shine's potions here.
And if you'd like to learn a bit more about Valerie, here's her bio, plus a link to her site: Valerie is an intuitive Life Coach, Visionary, Storyteller, Certified Yoga Teacher, and Fiery Spirit, who believes that we are all born for greatness and in any and every moment we can tap into that unbridled power. More about Gathers...
Weekly Sunday Gathers are sacred events to connect with our divine selves, with each other and with something larger that connects us all. We do this through guided meditation, song, silence, meaningful ceremonies or activities, thoughtful time for prayer and blessing, and we also bring in guest speakers for once-monthly learning talks. After our Gather, we enjoy each other's company and conversation over yummy brunch in the Shine Restaurant.
The Gather itself starts at 11:15 am and goes to 12:30 pm. A donation amount of your choice is greatly appreciated. When you arrive at Shine, head to the back room which is the Gathering Place, and that's where you'll find Sacred House. Seating is provided, or bring a pillow if you like to sit on the floor. Dress is casual and comfortable.
After the Gather we head out into the restaurant to socialize and eat together from Shine's delicious brunch menu. The charge for brunch is based on what you pick from the menu! Shine offers local, organic, holistic comfort food made from the heart, and they also make these amazing, magical non-alcoholic potions that are yummy and good for your soul. They work directly with farmers and host numerous events that support community. Their goal: When you support Shine, you support local community. Here's the link to view Shine's brunch menu, and here's a link to the page on their site that talks about the heart and soul behind their food & drink.
AND, there is also a morning yoga class at Shine at 10:00 am, before our Gather - with wonderful instructor Liz Clough. If you want, you can do the triple play - come for yoga, then the Gather, then brunch!
