We all have grief, and it's a doorway to Wholeness

If you think about it, grief is part of each of our lives in one way or another. Any kind of loss, big or small, and in any area of life, involves at least some grieving or sadness. In our culture, grief is a word that most of us run or hide from, but the Grief Support Network is changing that paradigm by helping us navigate grief as an opportunity for transformation and for deepening spirituality. Imagine bringing into the light the grief that you've hidden away or are avoiding, or working with the grief that is right there staring you in the face, and discovering the richness that this brings to your wholeness when addressed in a transformational way. Imagine ultimately feeling closer to something larger that connects us all as a result...

This Sunday's Gather is a special event where we have the opportunity to spend time with Wendy Stern and the Grief Support Network, who will reveal a doorway to more wholeness and more spirituality for each of us by sharing tools to bring any kind of grief into the light and to transform in the process. This is a powerful Gather! Please dare to go deep with us. In the world of spirituality, it is too easy to just focus on trying to feel good. But the richness, the wholeness, the hidden treasure really, lies in embracing ALL parts of our experience. I encourage you to join us this Sunday to claim more of that richness in yourself, and to help transform the experience of grief in our world to one that we embrace rather than run from.

Beyond this Sunday's Gather, the Grief Support Network is an ongoing community partner with Sacred House, and is a wonderful resource for any of us Sacred Housers who want a positive, loving and transformational experience around any kind of grief. In turn, Sacred House is a great place for members of Grief Support Network to discover more about their own unique spiritual paths, as grief often opens the doorway to seeking in this way. We celebrate Grief Support Network - thank you for the beautiful work you are doing in the world!

All about Gathers...

Weekly Sunday Gathers are sacred events to connect with our divine selves, with each other and with something larger that connects us all. We do this through guided meditation, song, silence, meaningful ceremonies or activities, thoughtful time for prayer and blessing, and we also bring in guest speakers for once-monthly learning talks. After our Gather, we enjoy each other's company and conversation over yummy brunch in the Shine Restaurant.

The Gather itself starts at 11:15 am and goes to 12:30 pm. A donation amount of your choice is greatly appreciated. When you arrive at Shine, head to the back room which is the Gathering Place, and that's where you'll find Sacred House. Seating is provided, or bring a pillow if you like to sit on the floor. Dress is casual and comfortable.

After the Gather we head out into the restaurant to socialize and eat together from Shine's delicious brunch menu. The charge for brunch is based on what you pick from the menu! Shine offers local, organic, holistic comfort food made from the heart, and they also make these amazing, magical non-alcoholic potions that are yummy and good for your soul. They work directly with farmers and host numerous events that support community. Their goal:  When you support Shine, you support local community. Here's the link to view Shine's brunch menu, and here's a link to the page on their site that talks about the heart and soul behind their food & drink.

AND, there is also a morning yoga class at Shine at 10:00 am, before our Gather - with wonderful instructor Liz Clough. If you want, you can do the triple play - come for yoga, then the Gather, then brunch!
